MODERN ENGINE PROS INC. – REMANUFACTURED ENGINE & COMPONENT WARRANTY

WARRANTY TIERS

• Base Warranty: 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first (parts only, no charge).
• Installed Warranty: If installed by Modern Engine Pros Inc or an authorized partner, upgrades to 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first (no charge; covers parts and labor). Requires proof of installation (invoice/receipt).
• Extended Warranty Options (must purchase at time of sale, non-refundable):
  • 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first ($250).
  • 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first ($400).

Warranty begins on date of purchase. Replacements carry the remainder of the original period (minimum 90 days if less remains). Warranty is non-transferable.

MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

To maintain coverage:

1. Replace engine oil, oil filter, and coolant after the first 500 miles (at purchaser's expense).
2. Change engine oil and filter every 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first.
3. Retain all service records (receipts, work orders) showing date, mileage, and maintenance.

Failure to comply may void coverage if proven causal to the failure.

WARRANTY VOID CONDITIONS

• Odometer tampered with, inoperative, or mileage unverifiable.
• Engine used for racing, competitions, or high-performance modifications.
• Installed in incorrect application.
• Vehicle driven after known defect develops, causing further damage.
• Warranty transferred to another owner (non-transferable).

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

• Labor for removal/reinstallation not covered (except Installed Warranty).
• Consequential/incidental damages (towing, rentals, downtime, lost income) excluded.
• Damage from overheating, pre-ignition, detonation, foreign debris, contaminated components, reused dirty oil pump screen/oil cooler, blown head gaskets due to overheating/detonation, cracked heads/blocks post-installation, improper maintenance.
• Commercial/industrial/marine/heavy vehicle (1 ton+) use: contact us for adjusted terms.
• Rear main seals/gaskets: covered for 90 days only from date of purchase.

CLAIM PROCESS

1. Contact us first: Email info@modernenginepros.com or call (818) 409-9494. Provide invoice, failure description, photos, odometer proof.
2. Obtain Return Authorization (RA) number – unauthorized returns refused.
3. Return securely (customer pays return shipping; we pay replacement shipping if approved).
4. Inspection within 10 business days; decision via email/phone.
5. Approved: Replacement shipped (standard ground, continental US).

CORE RETURN POLICY

Core due within 30 days. Prepaid FedEx label provided. Non-return triggers core charge. Refunds after inspection/approval.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

1. Good faith negotiation.
2. Optional: Mutually agreed third-party expert (costs split 50/50).
3. Binding arbitration under AAA rules in Los Angeles County, CA (final/binding; each bears own costs, prevailing party may recover fees).
